What we collect
When you use the Hutsenpiller Client Portal we collect information you give us directly (name, email, phone number, policy questions and requests) and information about your insurance that we receive from your carriers, our agency-management system (NowCerts), our CRM (HubSpot), and any optional third-party connections you authorize (such as Canopy Connect for syncing policies you hold with other agencies).
When you request a quote through our online rater, we collect the information you enter — name, date of birth, email, phone, the property address, and home details — and we supplement it with property characteristics from public-records and real-estate data providers (such as square footage and year built) so you don’t have to type them. Quote requests are kept even if you don’t buy a policy, so a licensed agent can follow up on your request.
How we use it
We use your information to service your insurance — quoting, binding, renewals, endorsements, claims, and answering your questions — and to communicate with you about your account or your quote request. If you consent on the quote form, we may contact you by phone, text, or email about your quote; that consent is not a condition of purchase and you can withdraw it at any time by replying STOP to a text or contacting us. We also keep an audit trail of which documents you view and which requests you submit, so that if a question comes up later we can verify what was sent and when.
Who we share it with
We share information with the carriers that underwrite your policies and the carriers we ask to quote you (rating requests are transmitted through our rating vendor to multiple insurance companies at once), with the MGAs and wholesalers we place business through, with state insurance regulators when required, and with the technology vendors that operate this portal on our behalf (hosting, email delivery, CRM, agency management, rating, and property-data services). Carriers may obtain and use a credit-based insurance score and claims-history reports as permitted by law when producing a firm quote. We do not sell your personal information.
Your choices
You can request a copy of the information we hold about you, request corrections, or ask us to delete it (subject to legal and recordkeeping obligations). Security
We protect your information with industry-standard safeguards including encrypted transport, signed magic-link authentication, short-lived download URLs for documents, and an audit log of access. No system is perfectly secure; if we ever discover a breach affecting your information we will notify you in accordance with state law.
